A free event for UTS academic and professional staff
Are you looking for ways to enhance your students’ wellbeing and success? Would you like to support them to achieve their best whilst on fieldwork? Research has shown that resilience can diminish psychological stress, help with managing pressures and improve academic results.
Facilitated by Dr Gisela van Kessel, this free workshop is part of the dissemination plan for a national Australian Technology Network (ATN) funded project which aims to build staff capacity to develop student resilience resulting in improved academic outcomes and enhanced graduate employability.
WHO WOULD BENEFIT?
Academic or professional staff members with an interest in how resilience can help your students wellbeing, retention and employability. No specific previous knowledge or skills are required.
EVENT OBJECTIVES
At the completion of the workshop participants will be able to:
Define resilience within the context of higher education
Explain the critical role of resilience within the higher education context
Identify strategies for enhancing student resilience at intrapersonal, interpersonal and university levels
