If you have 360° photos of your teaching space, would that help you to plan your learning and teaching activities?
AVS (Audio Visual Services) believes that Virtual reality and immersive content will play a big part of education in the future. So we thought, how can you use AV to enhance the academic/student experience in an innovative way? How about integrating immersive 360 VR component that could work in conjunction with information within the AVS room database.
The AVS room database is designed to help UTS staff to search for an AV room and access information such as room layout, list of AV equipment and training videos of basic AV equipment uses. In addition to this – we can take 360 photos of a standard teaching space and upload it to an online platform which offers a link and can be added to the AVS Room database site. If you are a VR (Virtual Reality) enthusiast, then you’ll love this; The 360 content can be viewed on a Virtual reality Head mounted display or even a Mobile device and Computer.
We’re looking to collaborate with Academics and Professional Staff on gathering user feedback to further develop this enhancement. Join us in the LX.lab to learn how you can use 360 photos to enhance collaboration in the classroom.
