Thriving under pressure will be an interactive virtual session where participants will explore concepts and strategies that will help strengthen their resilience and ultimately become more effective at times of increased pressure and challenge. It will be delivered over two 1 hour sessions using Zoom. Participants will learn a range of techniques which will help them thrive rather than just survive at times where workload demands and pressures build up.
The learning outcomes from the session is as follows:
- Understanding stress in the context of peak performance
- Managing stress and implementing coping strategies
- The Cannon of Psychological Skills for optimising performance
- Resilience, definition and importance
- Building resilience to combat stress
- Promoting effectiveness to enhance performance
- Exploring habits of highly effective people
- EAP, MAP and other available support services
- Using EAP for proactive coaching and optimal wellbeing
