Looking for an online activity to engage students in collaborative group work exercises? With the shift to online learning, organising an online activity for students can be quite the challenge.
Join us to learn about how Google Jamboard & Padlet can be used for creating collaborative online activities to keep students engaged in all types of group work, with their peers in real-time. This Tooltime session will demonstrate how you can use these tools for student online collaborative exercises and how to construct interactive activities such as brainstorms, visual discussion boards, live voting polls and more!
What’s covered in this session (both Google Jamboard & Padlet):
- Setting up the board
- Sharing the board to students
- Learning the features
- Comparison between Google Jamboard and Padlet
- Examples of what type of activities you could create
What is Tooltime?
Tooltime is a series of short informal showcases, where staff from all areas are given the opportunity to share a gadget, tool, app, workflow or technique. The technologies showcased can range from anything that could engage learners, streamline teaching or are simply time savers. Sessions do not have to formally address teaching and learning concepts in-depth, but rather recognise the technology’s potential capabilities in this area. Each session in the series will run for 30 minutes and are intended for either academic or professional staff.
