There are a plethora of apps that connect to Microsoft Teams, however one in particular that you might like to consider using as part of remote teaching (or recommend to students as part of their remote teaching interactions) is the Wiki App.
You or your students can create a quick collaborative document, either as part of a group exercise or as part of a contact exercise that you are running with them.
An easy way for people to collect together notes when having a meeting that everyone will be able to access and see. Meeting notes are also tied to the channel moving forward, so they can’t get lost.
A wiki is a great place for students to store a collection of materials around a group project they might be working on. Rather than being a single document, the wiki format (a collection of pages with different sections) gives the opportunity to collect together a range of different materials and project artefacts.
Because Teams is made up of multiple conversation streams you may find that you get similar questions reappearing. To save time answering every person individually, it can help to track frequently asked questions in a single place so that you can refer them to it. A wiki attached to a channel would be a great way to do this.
The easiest way to set up a wiki page is to add it as a tab for a desired channel. To do so:
It is also possible to quickly view all the Wikis that are in the channels you have access to through the general view. The general view for the Wiki app can be found in the ellipsis menu at the bottom of the left hand toolbar in Teams.
In this view you can:
As you have access to the overall view spaces, this provides a simple way to get an overview of student work in practice. You could suggest that students use this as a collaborative group space that you can then go in and give feedback on the work performed.
