Using Microsoft’s Office 365 suite enables you to integrate other apps into your Teams channels. Here are some useful apps that may aid productivity within a Teams virtual classroom.
Planner is a tool that allows teams to plan projects, share files and organise and allocate tasks to keep track of the work assigned to group members. This app can be particularly useful for student groups to check the progress of their group projects and set due dates for tasks to be completed.

Stream is the video repository of all the recordings from meetings. Once you select ‘start recording’ from the meeting options, the recording will be prepared and saved in MS Stream as well as emailed to your UTS account. Stream allows you to:

OneNote is one of the most useful tools in the Office 365 suite as it can be used for virtual classrooms, labs and tutorials. Once you create a ‘Class’ in Teams, you will be provided with the option to create a OneNote notebook for your class. This will pin the OneNote app to the top of your Teams channel and will enable students to access OneNote, complete tasks together, and take and share their notes with their peers and instructors.

Along with a whole range of apps and tools available for users to add to their Teams channels to improve the collaborative experience, Microsoft also has 2nd party tools that interact with Teams. One of the most commonly used platforms is LinkedIn Learning, where you can access a wide range of tutorial videos and simply share to the channel you would like in Teams.
