Do you already have a Mentimeter account and want to join the UTS license? This resource will guide you through the process according to your current account type.
If you are unsure what type of account you have, log into your Mentimeter account. On your dashboard, click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner and you can see the email address connected to your account.
If your email address ends in @uts.edu.au or @student.uts.edu.au you are using a UTS email address. If not, it will be a personal email address.
Select your profile icon again and click on ‘Billing’. To identify your account type, find the name of your ‘Plan’.
If your current plan states
If you want to convert your existing account to a UTS Mentimeter account, open the description applicable to your account type.
If you have a free Mentimeter account connected to a personal email address, you can now upgrade to the full range of features under the UTS license. To do this, you will need to change your account’s current email address to your UTS email address.
Once you have followed the steps above, log out of your Mentimeter account.After logging out, head to the mentimeter.uts.edu.au and follow the process in Okta to access the UTS licence. To confirm your sign up to the SSO process, you will receive an email from Mentimeter to ‘Confirm SSO for your Mentimeter account’ – click on ‘confirm SSO login here’ to finalise your transition to the UTS license.
If you have a subscription Mentimeter account connected to a private email address, you can now join the UTS license with the full range of Pro features without paying for your own subscription. To join the UTS license, you will need to cancel your current subscription first and then change your account’s current email address to your UTS email address. To cancel your subscription, please contact Mentimeter at hello@mentimeter.com. After your subscription was successfully cancelled, follow these steps:
Once you have set up your account through UTS SSO, you will continue to log in using SSO.
If you signed up for an account through UTS SSO before you changed the email of your current personal account, it is not possible to merge these accounts. However, you can import presentations from another account – for more information, see Copy your Mentimeter presentation into a different account.
