Portfolium will be undergoing changes in 2022, which will provide a different student learning experience in 2023. We will update this resource as these changes are implemented at UTS.
You can continue to plan for portfolio-based learning for your subject. If you are considering using Portfolium in Spring 2022, please consult with the LX.lab via https://lxlabservices.uts.edu.au
Portfolium is an online portfolio platform where staff and students can curate a digital portfolio with visual evidence of work, achievements, certifications and interests. Users can use Portfolium to showcase strengths, abilities, passions and potential.
UTS Portfolium Terms of Use
The UTS Portfolium Terms of Use informs students, staff and affiliates of their rights, responsibilities, and behavioural expectations in relation to their use of Portfolium, specifically under the UTS enterprise license. These UTS Portfolium Terms of Use apply to staff, students, and affiliates (hereafter collectively referred to as users). All users are encouraged to read the UTS Portfolium Terms of Use prior to accessing the platform.
Activate and access your Portfolium account
All UTS staff and students can use Portfolium to build their digital portfolio of work during a degree or a career. A user’s personal Portfolium portfolio can be curated throughout their UTS journey and retains all work and connections even after leaving the University.
You can activate your UTS Portfolium account in two ways:
- Via the UTS Portfolium site.
- Via Canvas.
Access via the Portfolium site
- Go to the UTS Portfolium site.
- If it’s your first time accessing the UTS Portfolium network, an online form will appear on the screen to activate your account.
- In the online form, activate your Portfolium account using your UTS email address and set a password (to use if you choose to set a secondary email address for your UTS Portfolium account).
- Confirm your age (with your birth date). Note that this information will not be displayed to anyone but yourself.
- Read and agree to the terms of service and privacy policy.
- Select Continue with email.
- You can choose to upload a copy of your resume, or skip this step and click Next.
- You will be taken to your UTS Portfolium account where you can start building your portfolio and personalising your profile.
Access via Canvas
- Enable Folio in your subject site (or sandpit) in Canvas, via Settings > Navigation. The steps are similar to enabling Kaltura My Media in Canvas.
- Once you have enabled Folio in your subject site (or sandpit), navigate to it (in the navigation menu of your subject site) and select it.
- If it’s your first time accessing the UTS Portfolium network, an online form will appear on the screen to activate your account.
- In the online form, activate your Portfolium account using your UTS email address and set a password (to use if you choose to set a secondary email address for your UTS Portfolium account).
- Confirm your age (with your birth date). Note that this information will not be displayed to anyone but yourself.
- Read and agree to the terms of service and privacy policy.
Students can access further guidance and information on accessing and using Portfolium via the UTS website and information on features directly from Portfolium.
- For support using Portfolium, you can use the 24/7 Live Chat feature once you’re logged in to your Portfolium account – click the Live Chat button at the bottom of your screen to get started.
