1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - Location to be advised
Level
Intermediate to advanced
Who should attend this session?
This session is open to all staff (academic or professional) who would consider themselves intermediate to advanced users of Zoom or video technology in general. If you’re generally interested to see what can be achieved outside of a standard zoom interface and technology, come along. PLEASE NOTE: This session will ONLY be held physically in person and on campus.
What will you learn?
In this session you will get to see various other software programs working with Zoom. We will largely focus on the integration of Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) with Zoom. OBS is an open source free program for Mac and Windows that allows the user to input multiple sources from different internal and external sources, whilst also being able to switch easily between all of these sources. The workshop will be very technology focussed and demonstrating how to use different technologies to achieve a specific outcome.
The session will be more like a workshop demonstration of what is possible with various combinations of hardware and software (note: some solutions are not officially supported at UTS) that can be done to achieve the following different results:
- Multiple camera demonstration – easy switching between camera feeds within a Zoom meeting.
- Display multiple windows from different programs at the same time in Zoom.
- Use an external camera with Zoom.
Disclaimer: OBS is not an official UTS supported tool.
