A range of technology is available to support learning and teaching at UTS. This showcase provides a series of 20 minute demonstrations covering a range of technologies you might like to use in your teaching. The information will be presented by people experienced in using technology at UTS and there will be opportunities to ask questions on which technology is appropriate to your learning and teaching context. Demonstrations include:
- Tips & Tricks with YouTube to help prepare your content for online delivery
- Using WordPress to encourage student creation
- An introduction to thinking visually in learning and teaching
- Giving student feedback using SPARK or REVIEW
- Facilitating group work in the cloud using Google products
- Using Lynda.com for teaching and learning
- Online quizzes for flipped learning, quick feedback or diagnostics
- Making reading social with A.nnotate
- Clickers for engaging large classes
- Preparing your students for your subject with a simple video or screencast introduction
This workshop is part of IML’s Orientation Program for new academic staff.
