Tooltime
Take a break, bring your coffee and bring your ideas. Snack on nifty apps and techniques to do crafty stuff. A fortnightly series of short casual meetups to introduce handy tools for your academic utility belt. Tools that might engage learners, streamline your teaching or to simply save time.
Next at Tooltime: Echo360 Active Learning Platform (ALP)
If you are teaching in the University Hall or Guthrie Theatre during a major session, your lecture will be recorded by the Echo360 Active Learning Platform (ALP).
Learning technologist Mark O’Connor we will be looking at the newly installed version of Echo360 which was implemented in the two large lecture spaces recently. Mark will go through the new features in both the Echo360 and UTSOnline environments.
Echo360 ALP also comes with the Personal Capture (PCAP) tool which allows subject coordinators and instructors to record a combination of audio, video and screen activity on their own UTS computers. Mark will show you how to get it installed.
